Meta Knight Character Analysis

In-Game Name: METAKNIGHT
Universe: Kirby
Class: Floater and Flier
By: Supa Mario

Meta Knight was probably the most anticipated character for Super Smash Bros. Brawl. And it was sure worth the wait to see this popular character in action! Meta Knight's specialty is a wide assortment of combination moves. Usually if this Flying Phoenix gets ahold of you, you're bound for a nice combo with a good handful of damage. Meta Knight has also very good recovery, putting his wings to good use. However, Meta Knight has very few finishing moves and knockback, so he is probably more successful in Stock Matches than Timed Matches.

Meta Knight's Special Moves

Standard Special Move: Mach Tornado
-The Mach Tornado is very effective in that Meta Knight spins at a powerful speed and damages all vulnerable foes around him. This attack can also be executed in the air, being a very effective move indeed
Side Special Move: Drill Rush
-Drill Rush is also very powerful. Meta Knight spins at a high speed and drills foes horizontally. It can help you give that added push to stab those other brawlers off-stage
Up Special Move: Shuttle Loop
-An excellent recovery move. Meta Knight does a loop and glides through the air, sword in hand. This move has great range if you control it well
Down Special Move: Dimensional Cape
-This is a very tricky and helpful move. Meta Knight disappears for a second and reappears in the direction you are pushing with the control stick. If you are holding the attack button while this is happening, Meta Knight will attack upon entry. Use this if you want to stab a little surprise into your opponent

Meta Knight's Taunts

Up Taunt
-Meta Knight Spins really fast and appears like a thin tube. He then haults.
Side Taunt
-Meta Knight shows off his sword with a few quick slashes left and right.
Down Taunt
-Meta Knight flaps his Devil wings to show off his supreme flight capability.

Final Smash: Galaxia Darkness
-Ahhh, Galaxia Darkness. Has a nice ring to it doesn't it? However, when Meta releases his inner smash, all is quiet and dark....then......SHKINK! Meta Knight slashes nearby foes in the darkness, exerting a large damage toll. Sometimes, at the right damge count, they will be sent off into the side of the screen. However, if there are no nearby enemies in time of this, it will be a complete waste...so aim carefully!

OPINION
-Meta Knight is a very effective and powerful character. Having the ability to both deal damage quickly and soar through the sky, he is a very formidable foe. On the contrary, Meta has little knockback and finishing moves which may be a huge negative. Some other character (in a Multi battle) might let you beat up another guy and just knock him/her off before you do. All in all though, Meta is a big competitor and deserves a top-tier spot
